11/14 Update - CASL Boys Shootout & Men's ACC Championships

Firstly, thanks to everyone for a great fall season. All the CAYA staff have thoroughly enjoyed working with the players and we are excited for the winter training, and Futsal before we get going again in the spring.

Spring Registration
Registration numbers are climbing each day and we would like to thank you for your due diligence in registering early and/or communicating with us if your child has decided to follow a different path. Being able to get things done ahead of time is a huge help to the CAYA staff as we try to plan ahead and ensure we improve the overall experience for each player in our program in the spring. CASL Shootout
The CASL Shootout is one of the marquee events in the southeast for  U11-U14 boys and girls players. Last week, was the girls weekend and it proved a great learning experience for each of the U10 teams as they played an age group up at U11. Special shout out to the U10 CAYA Black North Ladies who managed to avenge an opening game 4-2 loss to McClean by defeating them on PK's in the final of the U11 Premier Grey bracket.

It is the boys turn this weekend as the U10 CAYA boys teams and U11-U14 CASL classic teams will compete at various venues throughout Greater Raleigh against top quality opposition from up and down the east coast. If you are interested in checking out the action, please visit the following link:

ECNL
The U16 and U17 CASL ECNL teams are in Phoenix, AZ this weekend taking part in a showcase event. However, fear not as the U14 ECNL will take on Richmond United for the second weekend running. The two teams played last weekend in the final of top U14 bracket of the CASL shootout with CASL coming out on top in PK's after a hard fought game, which included six goals and lots of quality soccer. The game is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 15, 5:30pm kickoff on WRAL Travers Lasik. Should be another cracker!

Finally, I shared with you a little info on the FA Cup. It didn't go well for my team but was a great cup tie none the less. Here are the highlights of 98th best team in England taking on 58th best team on a lovely sunny day in Yorkshire. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TXWIQH2JrCY
